The present note by the Secretary-General containing the framework of operational guidelines on South-South and triangular cooperation is submitted in compliance with decisions 16/1, 17/1, 18/1 and 18/IM/1 of the High-level Committee on South-South Cooperation and General Assembly resolutions 69/239 and 70/222. The document provides priority actions and performance indicators for United Nations organizations and agencies, including regional commissions, towards mainstreaming their support for South-South and triangular cooperation at the global, regional and national levels. It has been revised to reflect the views of the High-level Committee expressed at its seventeenth and eighteenth sessions and to align the guidelines with the objective of applying South-South and triangular cooperation during the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.[ASP1]
